Customer Brief:
In May 2023 Warmco were asked to install three Winterwarm, natural gas fired, suspended, space heaters, into this 20,000 square foot, manufacturing facility in Stanley, County Durham.
Features of the Heating System:
The 20,000 square feet area within these manufacturing premises was not being adequately heated by three Combat CUHA gas unit heaters, which had faulty heat exchangers. Our customer therefore invited us to heat the space with modern, efficient heating equipment, which could get the space up to the target temperature quickly. To this end, we installed three Winterwarm, XR50, gas fired, suspended unit heaters, which each have a maximum heat output of 50.7kw, and can be used to get the space quickly to a high temperature. However, once the control panels detect that this has been achieved, the heater has the capacity to modulate its heat output down to 31.5 kw, to ‘top up’ the heat as required. This 95.6% nett efficient product, can typically offer a fuel cost saving of up to 30% against standard non-modulating models. (These heaters comply with ErP as determined by EU 2015 / 1188, they have a ten-year warranty on their heat exchangers, and they carry a 2-year parts and one year labour warranty). This heating was installed over a three-day period, and by working closely with the site supervisors, and employing the services of the approved roofing contractor to seal the flues, our engineers were able to minimise any potential disruption to the customer’s all-important manufacturing activities.
