Customer Brief:

Warmco installed an energy efficient sports hall heating system for Coventry Phoenix Gymnastics in December 2021. Our customer was relocating their business. Their new premises required background heating to take the ambient temperature up to a level that was suitable for gymnastics work and general exercise. Warmco installed two Warmco / Winterwarm XR60 suspended heaters, to free up floor space for the gym and to efficiently heat the space. We were also able to assist our customer to find a gas meter supplier who could exchange their meter by our heating installation deadline.

Features of the Heating System:

Warmco installed two gas fired suspended heaters into this 13,000 sq.ft. gym space in Coventry for this Gymnastics Club, in December 2021. The XR60 heater comes with a modulation feature as standard, which allows it to heat up the space at full 60kw capacity (to a specified 20 degrees at minus three outside), then once the space is up to temperature, the heater switches to 37kw on low fire, to ‘top up’ the heat as needed. This facility typically offers up to 30% saving on fuel costs. We also installed four WCU40 destratification fans to push down the heat that would otherwise gather in the upper reaches of the building; again, potentially offering a saving of up to 30% to the end user.

The sports centre heating installation and all associated work for the propane was completed within three days, in the run up to Christmas once classes had finished, to create as little disruption to the customer’s classes as possible.
