In August 2021, Warmco were asked to install a Winterwarm XR20 natural gas fired, suspended, warm air space heater into this 1200 sq. ft, modern portal framed unit for this previous customer.
This long-standing previous customer invited us to return to site to install a Winterwarm XR20, suspended, warm air heater into their warehouse which they were converting into another workshop area. The XR20 heater has a maximum heat output of 20kw, which can be used to get the area up to temperature. However, once this has been achieved, it has the capacity to modulate its heat output down to 13kw. This modulation feature offers a typical fuel cost saving of up to 30% against standard non-modulating models of heater. Other advantages of the XR20 heater are its compact dimensions at just 58cm (w) x 50cm (h) x 55cm (d), which means that it can be installed in smaller spaces. We also installed a WCU40 de-stratification fan, which was used to redistribute 3,200 metres cubed of warm air per hour, which would otherwise gather in the upper reaches of the building. Typically, the addition of fans can also offer the end user a fuel cost saving of around 30%. This project was completed in just one day, creating minimal disruption to our valued customer.
