Customer Brief:
In June 2022, Warmco were asked to install four XR50 Winterwarm, natural gas fired, suspended, warm air space heaters into this 33,000 sq ft, new portal framed warehouse building for this pharmaceuticals supplier.
Features of the Heating System:
These 33,000 sq. ft. premises required a modern, efficient heating system. We installed four XR50 suspended heaters, which have a combined maximum heat output of 200kw (50kw each), which can be used to get the space up to temperature. However, once this has been achieved, they also have the capacity to modulate their heat output down to low fire at a cumulative 120kw (30kw each) output, to ‘top up’ the heat as required. This can offer a typical fuel cost saving of up to 30% against standard non-modulating models. We were also asked to install eight CECX4500 Powrmatic destratification fans which would redistribute heat that would otherwise gather at the 11m high apex of the building. The ability to push down the heat that would otherwise gather within this large area, could offer our customer an additional fuel cost saving of up to 30%. This heating project was completed within one week, creating minimal disruption to the customer.
