Customer Brief

In July 2022, Warmco installed an energy efficient factory heating system for a leisure supplier based in East Yorkshire. We installed a variety of heaters into areas which ranged from 6,000 sq.ft. to 500 sq.ft., within this factory. This included two Winterwarm XR50 and an XR30, suspended, gas fired heater, plus two Winterwarm EH40 suspended electric heaters.

Features of the Heating System

This building had heating in some areas which was old and inefficient, plus an area which had not previously been heated at all. The new factory heating system was designed so that the two XR50s would heat the main 6,000 sq.ft. production area, where our customer manufactures equipment for the leisure industry, and one XR30 would heat their warehouse. Then one of the EH10 electric heaters was located to heat the social room, and the other, the production repair room. Our modulating heaters will automatically switch to low fire when the thermostat detects that the areas have reached the set temperature. This feature can save up to 30% (compared to non-modulating heaters) on fuel costs. For example, the Winterwarm XR50 modulates from 50kw on full fire, down to 30kw and the small electric EH10 heaters modulate from 10kw down to 3. The factory heating system was completed in a week and importantly for our customer, it was completed on schedule. Our engineers worked around production to minimise disruption to our customer.
