Warmco installed an energy efficient warehouse heating system for Perigon Holdings Ltd in November 2023. We chose three Winterwarm gas fired suspended, XR20+ and one XR30+ warm air unit heaters, and five WCU40 heat recirculation fans as warehouse heating in this 6,000 sq.ft. area, for this beverage equipment supplier.
Our customer had recently moved into this new portal framed building and needed some warehouse heating. They also needed some office / showroom heating for separate areas. Into the smaller showroom/office area, and two small warehouses we installed an XR20+. This would heat the space to 20 degrees when the temperature reachee minus three degrees outside. Into the larger 3,500sq.ft warehouse, we installed an XR30+ unit heater. These heaters were chosen because they are very compact, only 650mm wide, 495mm high & 530mm deep. They also have the capacity to modulate their heat output down to ‘top up’ the heat when the area reaches the desired temperature. For example the XR20+ is 94.6% net efficient, modulating from 20.7kw on full power down to 12.8kw to top up the heat. Similarly, the XR30+ varies from 28.9kw down to 17. This modulation feature typically offers a cost saving of up to 30%, compared to a non-modulating heater. We also installed five Winterwarm WCU40 destratification fans, which push down and recirculate the hot air that might accumulate high in the building. These fans can reduce the heating costs by up to 30% when heating any space over 5m in height. This warehouse heating project was completed within five days, creating as little disruption to the customer as possible.
