Warmco installed three Winterwarm gas fired suspended, XR20+ and one XR30+ warm air unit heaters, and five WCU40 heat recirculation fans into this 6,000 sq.ft. warehouse area, for this supplier of beverage equipment to the hospitality industry. The work was completed in November 2023.
Our customer had recently moved into this new portal framed building and needed some heating. They had several areas to be heated. Firstly, there were three smaller units which were a showroom/office area, and two small warehouses into each of these we installed an XR20+ to heat the space to 20 degrees when the temperature reaches minus three degrees outside. Into the larger 3,500sq.ft warehouse, we installed an XR30+ unit heater. The heaters are very compact, only 650mm wide, 495mm high & 530mm deep. These heaters have the capacity to modulate their heat output down to ‘top up’ the heat when the area reaches the desired temperature. For example the XR20+ is 94.6% net efficient, modulating from 20.7kw on full power down to 12.8kw to top up the heat, whereas the XR30+ varies from 28.9kw down to 17. This modulation feature typically offers a cost saving of up to 30%, compared to a non-modulating heater. We also installed five Winterwarm WCU40 destratification fans, which operate to push down and recirculate the hot air that might accumulate at apex of this building. These fans can offer the user of any space over 5m in height, a similar saving of up to 30% on the fuel costs. This project was completed within five days, creating as little disruption to the customer as possible
