Warmco installed a Winterwarm, suspended, gas fired, TR80 warm air heater into this warehouse space in Billingham. The 10,000 sq.ft, newly constructed portal-framed warehouse also required three WCU40 de-stratification fans to be installed, to create the most efficient heating possible within this space.
Our customer, a retailer of outdoor clothing, needed to heat their new warehouse and distribution area, to keep their products free of damp and their workers warm. To do this, we installed a Winterwarm TR80 modulating heater which, when operating on full burn (76kw), can get the building up to the desired temperature quickly, then it can switch to lower fire (47kw), to merely ‘top up’ the heat, thus reducing fuel usage by up to 30%. The use of the WCU40 de-stratification fans, to recirculate the heat that accumulates at high levels, reduces the need to use the heaters on full power and also reduces fuel consumption. This creates a further saving of up to a third on fuel costs. To accommodate the extra gas usage, our customer needed a new, bigger gas meter. We were able to guide our customer through the process and advise what size meter would provide the required capacity. The job was completed in just two days to create the minimum disruption possible to our customer.
